General Privacy

The Spirit Health Education (SHE) Circle is a program of the Mautner Project, the National Lesbian Health Organization. As an organization focused on the health of lesbians and women who partner with women, the Mautner Project adheres to the strictest rules of confidentiality. Any information collected through this website is used only for the intentions specified. No data will be shared with other organizations, service providers or individuals.

Postal Mail and E-Mail Privacy

If you elect to be on our postal mailing list we will provide mailings that maintain your privacy. For example, our newsletters are mailed in a plain envelope with no identifying information and we only send e-mails to addresses that you specify as appropriate.

We use a third-party service (YahooGroups) to manage our e-mail newsletter distribution. Your e-mail address is viewable only by S.H.E. Circle staff and YahooGroups staff, and will be used only to send the newsletter.

Talk Circle Privacy

When posting messages in Talk Circle, your computer's IP address is recorded to aid in enforcing the posting guidelines. Our online message board system uses "cookies" to store information on your local computer. These cookies do not contain any of the information you entered during registration; they serve only to improve your viewing pleasure. Your e-mail address is used for confirming your registration details and password (and for sending new passwords should you forget your current one), and sending updates and announcements should you choose to receive them.
